Stretched and wrinkled patch appears on the top of the seat?

I recently (1 week ago) took delivery of my new leather sofa suite 'corrected grain'. I was thrilled as they are stunning .

However I am concerned, as every time we sit on the seats a stretched and wrinkled patch appears on the top of the seat .

My relatives have leather sofas and they haven't had anything like this

I'm afraid the seats are going to look really shabby very quickly, which is something I didn't expect.Stretched and wrinkled patch appears on the top of the seat?
We have leather and no wear at all. Sounds defective to me.Stretched and wrinkled patch appears on the top of the seat?
It sounds as though the area on that seat was cut from the belly area of the hide, this is more prone to stretching. You would also have to make sure that they have not used a 'split' on the seating areas (this is illegal in the UK). The other possibility is that it has been understuffed and does not have the support from inside.

I would go back to the shop and ask them to send someone to look at it. It is the shops resposibility to put the problem right.
Leather will stretch slightly when it is new.The fabric and seat cores are under warranty so give it a little time and if the problem gets worse call in a warranty claim.
