On both of my thumb nails, and my big toe nails i have horizontal wrinkes. Some are deeper than others.

The wrinkles are caused from the direction of the grain in your toenail. If you have a verticle grain, the wrinkles are still there but go from the tip of your toe to the bottom (cuticle), which is usually so small you don't notice. Horizontal grain causes ripples in your nails. This a genetic trait and does not harm anything. If you check either your mother or father will have the same trait.
